About Ross Spencer of Eco Photoart
ROSS SPENCER, from his base in South East Queensland, has created a large collection of environmental images over the years spent visiting the many rainforest, coastal and island areas within the region, around Australia and beyond. His eye for detail is apparent founding his ability to find beauty in the leaves, ripples, rocks and waves rather than the more common traditional landscapes and seascapes.
Following the advent of digital technology, Ross began to merge art and photography and expanded into the digital manipulation of images. He now has an extensive portfolio of ecoart (environmental photo art), and is well placed to meet the growing demand for this form of art. His images have been installed in many private, corporate, medical and hospitality projects around Australia including Hyatt, Ramada, Mantra, Breakfree, Peppers, Ibis, Grand Mercure, Crown Plaza and the Gold Coast Convention Centre.
Spending many hours and immersing himself in the natural environment enables Ross to capture the special effects of light that are crucial to the colours and patterns of nature. Drawing on emotion and sensitivity underscored by a fine sense of composition and a keen awareness to observe the elements rather than the broad landscape, Ross transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary ... photography becomes art.
Website Images found in this website are selections from the various categories that have become a trademark of Ross’s Ecophotoart portfolio.
